US Class Action News: Sony Playstation Network (PSN) Hack 2011

Sony Playstation Network Hack 2011

If you were a member of the  PlayStation Network, owned a Sony Online Entertainment game, or subscribed to music service Qriocity between January 1 and May 15, 2011, you may be able to claim some compensation back as a result of the attacks in April 2011 on the computer network systems used to provide these services.  This includes any user that had a PSN account, a Qriocity account, or an SOE account any time before May 15th, 2011. Unfortunately it is open to US citizens only (sorry rest of the world).

In 2011 Sony suffered a massive attack on these 3 networks that resulted in roughly 77 milion accounts user details being compromised and service outages. Compensation for this class action comes in the form of digital goods, including a free PS3 theme, three months of PlayStation Plus (only available to new subscribers), and/or a downloadable code for one of the following PS3/PSP games.

·         LittleBigPlanet (PS3)
·         Super Stardust HD (PS3)
·         rain (PS3)
·         Puppeteer (PS3)
·         Invizimals: Lost Kingdom (PS3)
·         God of War® HD (PS3)
·         Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror (PSP)
·         LittleBigPlanet (PSP)
·         ModNation Racers (PSP)
·         Patapon 3 (PSP)

·         Wipeout Pure (PSP)

To get compensation, you must complete and submit a Claim Form for the benefit with any required documentation by the deadline which may be as early as August 31, 2015There is an option to file a claim online or by mail.
